Chocolate and Blood Pressure
Did you know that mild hypertension can be decreased by a little dark chocolate? Dark chocolate decreases blood pressure: systolic pressure by 5 points and diastolic pressure by 2 points. Polyphenols in dark chocolate (also found in red wine) were considered responsible according to the Journal of American Medical Association.
